Physical Activities

Seasons Preschool recognized the importance of providing physical activity for children.  Outdoor play and physical education extends opportunities for large
muscle development, social-emotional development, and small muscle development. All children will be provided outside play and physical activity daily as required by Texas Minimum Standards.  Seasons Preschool partners with Stretch N Grow child enrichment program for fitness activities once a week for preschool and pre-kindergarten classes.

Chapel

We partner with Thousand Hills Church as a ministry to the Lake Cities Community. A child’s spiritual need is as important as their educational and physical need. Chapel time is ongoing and filters through our daily curriculum. This is a time for our students to learn songs, hear stories, watch skits and learn Bible verses.  We have a chapel theme and monthly Bible verse.

STEAM Curriculum

Our curriculum encourages children to be actively involved in the learning process, to experience a variety of activities appropriate to their age and rate of development and to pursue their own interests in the context of life in the community and the world. Children learn through play that is planned by adults to teach them language, concepts about the physical world, social skills, problem solving, motor coordination and self-confidence. Seasons Preschool uses a proprietary STEAM based curriculum written by our director. Our preschool and pre-kindergarten classes use Handwriting Without Tears, a nationally recognized curriculum to foster literacy success.

Music

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Children at Seasons Preschool will be exposed to music everyday- in the classroom or Chapel setting or practicing for our annual Christmas Program or Graduation.
